At first glance, it seems to just be some statistics and "locations of" lists and so forth. But this is just the start for a "open information" attitude that Edmonton is trying to adopt. The first thing that comes to mind -in term of usefulness- for this information is research. Whether it be personal (comparing bus stops/capita to Vancouver's or something silly like that) or a school research project. Another thing that comes to mind is business. Some of this information (remember, this is just the start of info they're giving us) could very well be used for current and future business development. The third thing, which they kinda mentioned in a Journal link is applications. Throwing this info into an iPhone app or something (but really, just iPhone apps count) could make for some handy apps.
If, for some reason, none of this is exciting to you, then perhaps the knowledge that I now own 1967's "Cool Hand Luke" on Blu-ray is exciting to you.
